Designed firmware using 'C' for an MC68000 based Digital
Cable TV converter box.

Wrote pSOS device driver to control the Sharp 50-750 Mhz tuner and the BroadCom BCM3115 single chip digital (dual QPSK and
256-QAM demodulator) IF receiver.
Wrote pSOS device driver for the video (MC68VDP).and audio (MC68ADP) decompression chips. Video chip was an MPEG-2/GI-DigiCipher
compatible. The audio decompression chip (MC68ADP) was an AC-3 (Dobly) bitstream type device.
Wrote pSOS device driver to control the MPEG-2/DigiCipher transport demultiplexer chip. This (LSI Logic TAYOGA) chip acted as
an intelligent router to extract user specific information from the digital stream.
Integrated system at the customer site (Hewlett-Packard Home Products Division in Santa Clara).
